In a parallel universe, what would your life be like? What would your art be like?
Michelle: In a parallel universe, I’m sure I would live at the beach and be a painter. I love the tactility of the medium and the ability to do it anywhere with minimal tech involved. In this universe, I’m usually mulling over ways to keep one foot in everything I’ve built while also getting back to the sea so I’d love a world where that’s seamless.

Who is one of your earliest sources of inspiration?
Michelle: Mary-Kate and Ashley are probably the earliest I can remember. I grew up pretty sheltered but they were totally allowed and I lived for their frivolous and colorful fashion.
What is your favorite time of day? Why?
Michelle: Morning because I naturally feel the most clearheaded and energized. I also love drinking coffee.
Do you have anyone that you love to collaborate with?
Michelle: Forrest, because his mind works so differently than mine that he really balances out my initial brute creative force with a more nuanced problem-solving approach that helps us overcome obstacles to complete projects.
